Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026 · Effective immediately across shadow.net.in
100% Local Device Compute
All compression, conversions, mathematical formulas, and cryptographic encoding occur entirely inside your browser sandbox via WebAssembly and Canvas APIs.
Zero Server Uploads
When you drag and drop a file or paste text, it is never uploaded to remote servers. No network packets containing your raw file payloads are ever transmitted.
Zero Data Collection or AI Training
Because files never touch our servers, we cannot see, store, analyze, monetize, or train machine learning models on your documents, photos, or code.
1. Core Privacy Architecture
At Shadow Toolkit (https://shadow.net.in), your privacy is not merely a policy statement—it is an architectural design choice. Unlike traditional web converters that require sending your documents, photos, spreadsheets, or code to remote cloud clusters, Shadow Toolkit is engineered to execute all operations inside your client-side browser runtime.
When you use any utility on this website:
- Image Utilities: Image decoding, pixel manipulation, compression, resizing, and format transcoding (PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, SVG) occur through the browser's native HTML5 Canvas and WebGL APIs.
- PDF Utilities: PDF splitting, merging, rotation, and metadata extraction execute in-memory using WebAssembly and client-side JavaScript PDF parsing libraries without transmitting page buffers.
- Developer & Cryptography Tools: JSON parsing, Base64 transcoding, JWT decoding, UUID generation, RegEx evaluations, and hashing (SHA-256, MD5) execute via the browser's native JavaScript engine and Web Cryptography API.
- Video & Audio Tools: Trimming, speed adjustments, and frame extractions utilize client-side HTML5 MediaStream and Web Audio pipelines.
2. Cookies and Local Storage
Shadow Toolkit does not use intrusive tracking cookies, user profiling beacons, or fingerprinting scripts.
We utilize browser localStorage solely for functional, client-side preferences:
- Theme Preference: Storing your choice of Light or Dark mode.
- Recent Tool Shortcuts: Storing recently accessed tool shortcuts locally on your device for quick navigation in the Command Palette (Cmd+K).
This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
3. Server Logs and Network Analytics
When you request web pages from shadow.net.in, our hosting provider (Firebase Hosting / Google Cloud CDN) may automatically collect standard web server logs for routing, bandwidth monitoring, and DDoS security. These standard logs include your IP address, browser type (User-Agent), referring URL, and timestamp.
These logs contain zero payload data from the tools themselves, as file operations do not trigger network requests.
4. Third-Party Advertising & Partner Disclosures
To keep Shadow Toolkit 100% free and support ongoing development, we may display third-party advertisements provided by Google AdSense and its advertising partners.
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site:
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
